Not a lot of people believe that I'm a mommy when they meet me, and I'd like to believe that's the reason why I never got invited to mommy events. That is also why I was beyond ecstatic when I got my very first invite to a mommy event last April.
Although I don't have a newborn baby anymore - or even a baby, in general, for that matter (Syrena's 2 now!) - I decided to go because I was eager to meet mommy bloggers. And to bond with fellow mommy blogger Sarah Tirona of Ms. Eggplant's Chronicles.
The event took place at Cafe 1771 in Ortigas - one of the prettiest restaurants I have ever been to. I first fell in love with this place during the Emo Jewelry event at the beginning of the year, and it still took my breath away the second time around.
The food was to die for, as well.
Sarah actually brought her SLR with her!!! *shocker* :p
After eating, we learned more about Beginnings Baby and why it is the best choice for babies nowadays. :)
In a nutshell, Beginnings Baby is the very first all-white newborn baby apparel brand that provides a wide range of necessities for babies, all of which are made with love and care.
Beginnings Baby basically adheres to all things white - a completely necessary feature for infants within their first year of living.
I took a picture of this slide because you can't see the clothes on it properly - they're too white! XD
So, why should babies wear white during their first year of living? Let me count the ways...
1. White is clean and safe.
In other words, you will be able to spot stains, insects, dirt and other objects on it with ease. As cute as colorful shirts with designs may be, they don't really take sanitary issues or safety into consideration.
2. White is comfortable.
Not only does the color white attract less heat, but it will also ensure that your baby stays comfortable and calm at all times.
3. White is unisex.
If you are pregnant and don't know what your baby's gender is yet, white clothes would be the perfect things to stock up on. Plus, if you plan on having more children in the future, you can "recycle" these clothes for them in the future. :)
I admit that, as much as I loved to dress Syrena up in cute lil outfits when she was little, all she wore at home was white. I called her Lil Miss Ninja <3
Syrena, at 3 months old.
Those clothes were just bought at MBK in Bangkok, though, so they are no longer around because they've got holes and simply didn't withstand the test of time. Oh, how I wish I had Beginnings Baby around when I needed them.
...Time for baby number two? ;p
