I personally do not remember the last time I felt as carefree as my daughter seems to be on a daily basis. I think her biggest problems in life right now involve how to convince me that eating candy on a daily basis is good for her and that, no, she cannot have too many Hello Kitty items in her closet. (Yes, for all intents and purposes, Syrena has her own closet. And her own shoe rack.)
While it might sound depressing to hear that I have completely forgone my own carefree moments, the good news is that a single giggle or a mere dimpled smile from Syrena is enough to make me feel better, no matter what kind of mood I'm in.
I dare you not to smile right now.

Like mother, like daughter.
As always. :p
Aside from making strange poses during outfit shots, another thing that Syrena got from me is my morbidness. Lol. One night, after watching "Finding Nemo" for the first time, I asked Syrena what she thought of the movie. "I didn't like the ending," she said. "Why? How did you want it to end?" I asked. Her answer? "The sharks come and eat all of the fish." :)) Epic.
Carefreeness aside, another child-like thing that I have completely forgone is baby smooth skin. Since my mother never really took care of my skin while I was growing up, I have always made it a point to take very good care of Syrena's skin.
Because of this, I have used nothing but Cetaphil on her ever since we moved here two years ago. Fortunately, Cetaphil is mild enough to suit even the skin of newborns. :) Don't believe me? Try it out for yourself by joining this giveaway:
Good luck! :) And, oh, before I go... this is how Gerd treats my kid:
