This March, they've added some shows that I have admittedly never heard of before they came to iflix, but that I will definitely be checking out after I binge-watch 'Mad Men'. Read their plots and watch their trailers here. Who knows? You might find something new to watch to! :)
6 Shows You Might Want to Check Out This March
SIX
SIX follows members of legendary Navy SEAL Team Six, whose mission to eliminate a Taliban leader in Afganistan goes awry when they uncover a U.S. citizen working with terrorists.
What got me hooked is the fact that the show is apparently inspired by real missions, so it authentically captures the inside world of America’s elite Special Operations Forces.
The Good Place
If you're a fan of 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' and 'Parks and Recreation', then you might want to check out 'The Good Place' (also by comedic genius Michael Schur). This original comedy follows Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell) and her life in the afterlife where she realises that her behaviour when she was alive wasn’t particularly great.
I definitely love the concept of this one, especially since I feel like my life on Earth hasn't been particularly great, either. :p
Eyewitness
Eyewitness is an adaptation from the Norwegian crime drama Øyevitne, exploring a harrowing crime from the perspective of innocent eyewitnesses.
Who doesn't love a good crime series, amirite?
LA Story
This reality series follows the friendships and romances of rich California teens who have been friends since freshman year. You know how it goes: where there are teenagers, there is going to be a ton of (probably relatable) drama!
As much as I hate to admit it, reality TV series have always been a it of a guilty pleasure for me (The Real World, The Simple Life, Keeping Up with the Kardashians - you name it!) So, yeah, I'll probably give this one a go, too.
Betch
Betch is an all-girls sketch comedy show starring 'The Betches' and featuring celebrity hosts like JennXPenn, Marcus Johns, Lele Pons, Lohanthony, Logan Paul and more!
Out of all of the shows in this post, this is the one I am most excited for. Sketch comedies are love!!!
The Grinder
The Grinder is a comedy about two brothers: a spotlight-grabbing actor who plays TV’s most popular lawyer; a real-life, small-town attorney who has yet to find his spotlight.
Most people know Rob Lowe from 'The West Wing' or 'Parks and Recreation', but I have been Rob Lowe's fangirl since his 'The Outsiders' and 'St. Elmo's Fire' days (go watch those movies if you haven't yet - or beg iflix to get them, too! :p). Having Fred Savage from 'The Wonder Years' in it (also a 90s treasure!) just makes it all the more appealing to me.
What do you think? See anything you fancy? If you've got any recommendations of your own, feel free to comment them below! :) And oh, if you end up subscribing to iflix, please do let me know, so I can follow you on social media if I don't yet, and geek out with you every now and then!
